![]() "Ice Flow" |
"Ice Flow" is a limited edition screened
print taken from an original painting by Jan Dorer. The piece is matted
with white four-ply 100% rag mat and framing is pewter metal. The prints
were the result of a twenty-nine screen process. Each screen distributes
one color to the print. Each color is a full day's work for the serigrapher,
not including the time necessary for screen creation. All materials are
museum-quality and designed to last as long as possible.
The original "Ice Flow" painting was painted during our interest in and travel to Alaska. Its creation was near the beginning of a series of paintings of Alaska through the eyes of Jan. We traveled Alaska and saw the white water, the glacial silt designs in the rivers, the magnificent glaciers, the mountains and the valleys. All left a great desire for Jan to express it in her way. The paintings were very successful, but, in time, Jan was on another journey. We have this exciting screened print remaining of the Alaska series. Edition Size: 300 |

"Release" is a limited edition screened
print taken from an original painting by Jan Dorer. The piece is matted
with four-ply off-white 100% rag mat and framed with pewter metal. "Release"
is the result of a thirty-screen process.
The original "Release" was painted during the final stages of illness and the passing of Jan's father. She has always considered it to be her symbolic statement of the release of energy during this process. I have always marveled that Jan was able to paint such a magnificent piece at that time in her life. This information about Jan's father and the creation of the original "Release" has, until now, been privately ours. After much discussion, Jan has agreed that it is important that you be allowed to know. Edition Size: 300 |
